"Moreover, Ananda, all the Bodhisattvas in the present and future time in that Buddhaland, are certainly to arrive at the position of the last birth ultimately. Except for those who have made great vows to cross over living beings, they will enter the realm of birth and death. They are then born to become great Dharma Masters so as to pronounce the Lion's Roar. They equip themselves with the great protection of precepts and adorn themselves with great vows, merits and virtues. Even though they are born in evil world of the five turbidities, in the same form just like the other living beings, but they will never have to undergo the experience in the Evil paths, until their arrival at the shore of Buddhahood. Wherever they are born, they will remember their former existences.
The Buddha of Innumerable Lifespan wishes to cross over all the living beings in the worlds in ten directions, so that they will be born in His Land and attain Nirvana.
The Bodhisattvas are taught to become Buddhas. After they have attained Buddhahood, they will in turn teach the other living beings and accordingly they will attain liberation. In this way, the teaching of The Buddha will never come to an end until the time of infinity in future, that no one can really make out its duration by any means of calculation.
The Sound Hearers, The Bodhisattvas and other living beings from the worlds in the ten directions who have been born in His Land, who have arrived at the Nirvana, who have attained Buddhahood, are uncountable in numbers.
All the things that appear in that Buddhaland come forth from the One True Dharma, with no increase nor addition. Why is it like that? Just like the great sea which is The King of Water. When the water from the streams flows into the sea, the quantity of water in the great see will neither be increased nor decreased.
There are many Buddhalands in the ten directions, but the Pure Land of Amitabha is great, spacious and forever in existence. It is a Land that is full of light and bliss. A Land that is most wonderful with no other comparison, the reason is that when He was practising the ways of the Bodhisattva, He had brought forth the great vows and accumulated all kinds of great virtues. The Buddha of Innumerable Lifespan is constantly giving away the virtuous kindness to the beings in the ten directions unceasingly. His kindness and compassion are very deep, unfathomable and indescribable by words."
